VESS Academy

College teaches you about business. We make you build one.

A one-year, mentor-led business apprenticeship. Learn the skills, do the real work, leave with a portfolio, a certificate, and a direction. Faith-based, values-first, and run inside a working agency — so everything you learn is something we actually do.

The idea

Real skills. Real work. A real direction.

Most people spend tens of thousands of dollars and four years to find out what they might want to do. We flip the order: find your path by doing the work, with a mentor, inside a business that runs on these skills every day.

You meet your mentor every week. You get assignments that matter. Your work, your notes, and your progress live in one dashboard. And when you're ready, you do paid work on live projects — so your resume says what you actually did.

What you learn

  • Value creation & offer design
  • Business models: B2B, D2C, services, products
  • Entities, LLCs & how money flows

Where attention lives now, and how brands earn it.

  • Social media & short-form content

  • When to use AI, and when not to

Faith & foundations

Values-first business. Work as excellence, profit as stewardship.

  • Christian business ethics in practice
  • Generosity as a business model
  • Building things that add real value to the world

How it works

A year that earns its place on your resume.

01

Weekly mentorship

A scheduled 1:1 call every week with your mentor. Direction, feedback on your work, and the next assignment. Notes land in your Campus dashboard after every call.

02

Real assignments

Not homework for a grade — briefs pulled from a real agency: design, content, outreach, research. You complete them, submit them, and get honest feedback.

03

Real experience

As you level up, you work on live Vessels projects. That means real deadlines, real clients, and a resume that says you actually did the roles, because you did.

04

Portfolio, certificate & a path

You leave with a body of work, a VESS Academy certificate, and one of three doors: a role with us, a job somewhere great, or your own business, which we help you launch.

Programs in the shop

The full course library is being built cohort-by-cohort, taught live first, then turned into courses. Currently under construction:

  • Foundations: vision, values & the fundamentals of value creation
  • The Offer Lab: design, price & sell your first offer
  • Creator Economy 101: content, influence & distribution
  • The Modern Toolbox: AI, automation & the software stack
  • Launch: entity, brand, site & first customers

Straight answers

Asked and answered.

Who is this for?

People early in their path — usually 16 to 25 — who want real skills and real experience instead of (or before) spending college money to find a direction. You don't need experience. You need commitment.

What does it cost?

The founding cohort is by application, and terms are set person-to-person — some members train tuition-free in exchange for real work on our projects. Paid tiers and certification pricing come later, once the program has earned them.

Is this accredited?

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. You leave with a certificate from a working agency, a real portfolio, and referenceable work experience — the things employers and customers actually check.

Why faith-based?

Because we believe how you build matters as much as what you build. We teach business as stewardship: excellence in the work, honesty in the selling, generosity in the winning. You don't have to share our faith to learn here — you do have to respect the values.

Your move

Build something worth building.

The founding cohort is small on purpose — every member gets a mentor, real work, and a real path. Tell us who you are and what you want to build.
